When you join Equestrian Tasmania you automatically become a member of Equestrian Australia, giving you access to competition, horse registration, 24/7 personal accident and public liability insurance, and the support of your state equestrian body.
Whether you're a competitor, a grassroots rider, a coach, an official, or simply someone who loves horses, there is a membership category to suit you.

Follow these three steps:
Step 1 — Choose your membership category
Not all memberships are the same. Before you renew or join, make sure you select the category that suits your level of participation. Choosing the wrong category can affect your eligibility to compete or register a horse, however you can upgrade through the membership categories throyghout the membership year.

Step 2 — Check the fees
Your membership fee is made up of an EA Levy, an EA Insurance Levy and ETAS levy which tsyas in the state to support the sprt at a local level.

Step 2 — Renew or Join
Once you are ready, all memberships, new and renewing, are processed through the EA JustGo membership platform.

New members
Welcome to the ETAS community. To join for the first time, head to the JustGo platform and create a new account. If you need guidance on which membership category is right for you, visit our membership categories page or contact the office before you begin.
Transferring from another state?
EA requires members to hold membership with the state branch in which they live, or within 100km of the state border. If you are moving to Tasmania and need to transfer your membership, please contact the ETAS office at [email protected] for assistance.
Upgrading your membership during the year
It's common for members to start the year as a Recreational or Participant member and find they need to upgrade to Competitor as the season progresses. You can upgrade at any time by logging into your JustGo account and selecting the upgrade option. You will only pay the difference between your current and new membership category.
Membership includes 24/7 insurance cover
All ETAS memberships include personal accident and public liability insurance through the EA national insurance scheme, underwritten by Gow-Gates Insurance Brokers. This cover applies 24/7 while you are engaged in non-income earning equestrian activities.
