History
The Tasmanian Showjumping Association Inc. was formed in February 1975, by a group of horse enthusiasts throughout the state who’s interests were focused on Show Jumping.
The original committee positions were as follows:

In 1983 a discussion took place by the state council and it was decided that a restructure into 3 branches would take place. South, North & North West branches were formed with each branch having to nominate a representative/s for the state executive. It was resolved that each branch would have a committee of 12. At this meeting it was decided that the awards of Senior & Junior “Show Jumper of the Year” would be conducted over the 10 spring shows.

1984 was the start of the “Fotheringham Futurity” now known as the “Future Stars” and this event was run as a feature at the Westbury Show.

Now is a great time for new members to join as our membership year is from the 1st May 2015 to the 30th April 2016 and Show jumping Tasmania North has so much on offer for you and your horse.
This season we have a new and preferred method online via Nominate/ Subscribe Online.

- $55 senior
- $45 Junior (under 18 as of the 1st January)
- $115 Family (2 seniors & 2 juniors)

Roll of our Club
- Our club was formed to provide for show jumping enthusiast in Tasmania.
- We provide our members with instruction from local and interstate coaches as well as competitions both in-house and in conjunction with the Agricultural Show Society of Tas.
- Our club is involved in the running of Show’s in the North, including Royal Launceston, Longford,
- Westbury, Scottsdale & Deloraine.
- We commit to supply equipment and personnel for the running of the Official Ring (usually named
- Ring 1). This includes our showjumping gear, set up prior to the show, during and at the conclusion.
- Each individual show society is invoiced for the hire of our equipment, a fee that is set each year by our branch.
- A committee person from our branch is (not always but usually) assigned to be on the show committee
- and liaise with the show society on matters including sponsorship, judges, course designers, ribbons, event schedules, accommodation and general running of the show on show day/s.

Merchandise
Our Branch is currently in the process of making a few changes to our merchandise. This is available to purchase at Clinics and Competitions throughout the Showjumping calandar.
