In response to directions and advice from the government and Equestrian Australia, the Board of Equestrian Tasmania has taken the very difficult decision to strongly recommend that all events be canceled with immediate effect.  

The government advice has been to minimise social contact and non-essential travel.  The pressure on emergency services means that ambulances may not be available to attend events to treat serious injuries.  In this situation, the responsible decision is to take all action necessary not to further burden the emergency services or risk members' safety at events.

We thank all our members, organising committees, officials and volunteers for their support during these unprecedented times. We will continue to monitor the situation and update you all as soon as we have any further information.
