ETas November News

Congratulations to our sucessful competitors at this seasons events. Equestrian Tasmania members have had a great season at home, thanks to our hard working volunteers who run the ETas Sport Affiliates. ETas members have produced some awesome performances on the mainland at the EA Show Jumping Championships, EA InterSchool Championships and the EA Dressage Championships. Best of Luck to our Show Horse team preparing to travel to the EA Show Horse and Rider of the Year and to the Eventers who are also preparing to head away.

Equine Nutritional Seminars - Martin Connell from Hygain Feeds will be conducting 2 x Equine Nutrition Seminars in Tasmania next week.  NB Hygain is a major Sponsor for Show Horse Tasmania HOTY.

Equestrian Tasmania Horse and Rider of the Year - Please see attached schedule - January 25-26th 2015 at Pontville. (Hosted by Show Horse Tasmania) NB the Rider classes are open to all Competitior members - If your horse holds a current competition licence you are able to enter the Pony/Hack classes at the HOTY (provided the horse has a current EA Height certificate). Winners and runner ups in the Open classes automatically qualify for the EA HOTY.

Equestrain Tasmania Dressage Championships - March 2015 - TEC Lauderdale. (Hosted by Dressage Tasmania Sth Br) - NB One of the most important changes is the requirement to have competed at TWO DTas events in the 12 month period leading up to the closing date for entries for next year champs. (so last year's champs count) - See attached Dressage flyer for qualifying events.

Equestrian Tasmania Eventing Championships - April 18 - 19th - TEC Lauderdale (Hosted by Tas Eventing Assoc) incorporating the IS Eventing Championships- see http://www.tas.equestrian.org.au/ Sports Eventing for further details.

Equestrian Tasmania Interschool Championships - Dates and Venues to be advise - The 2015 Equestrian Australia Interschool Championships are to be held in the October at the home of the 2000 Sydney Olympics - Riders must be ETas members at time of qualifying.
