STATE JUMPING SQUAD NOMINATION FORM 2010

CLOSING DATE 20 MARCH 2010

CLICK HERE to access nomination form

Nominations are invited for consideration onto the 2010 State Jumping Squad.   The squad is open to Senior, Young Rider and Junior.  The squads aim is to enhance training and knowledge for horse and rider.

National coach Colleen Brook is expected to commence clinics in May and this year we will probably aim for 6 – 8 week intervals.  Colleen is not available until May due to shows and other commitments.  The dates of 15/16 May have been booked for first clinic.  The squad has no funding so it is user pay system with each clinic costing approximately $180 per rider/combination for the two days.

Selection process is conducted by a State Selectors Panel which has state-wide representation from each branch along with a state coordinator and state coach.  If selected, commitment to attending the clinics is of the upmost importance.  Other criteria taken into account are performances, horse or rider suitability for training and development, rider or horse potential.

This year please note the inclusion of option to be only considered on a reserve bases, rather than the full commitment of a squad position. These are offered only when vacancies arise, please tick appropriate box.

PLEASE NOTE riders are required to be members of Equestrian Tasmania & Showjumping Tasmania
