Tasmanian riders competing nationally

March and April has seen a number of Tasmanian riders travel to the mainland achieving some great results

CONGRATULATIONS TO

DRESSAGE

A huge congratulations to Sophie McDermott. Champion Novice Young Rider at the Victorian Young Rider Championships in March at Werribee Park National Equestrian Centre.

Sophie horse is bred here in Tasmania by her mother Suzan McDermott.

EVENTING

Three Tasmanian Young Eventers Alice Hirst, David Gardiner and Alexandra Deegan competed at both Camperdown and Heytesbury Horse Trials in April.

Campberdown Alice Hirst rode Mighty William (6th in Pre Novice) and Beragoon Sizzle (3rd in 2**), Alexandra Deegan and Leather Boots (who reported a gear malfunction on course) and David Gardiner with All or Nothing (8th in Pre Novice) 

Heytesbury Alice with Mighty William 2nd in 1* amongst 60 starter.  Beragoon Sizzle clear all competition 2** for 7th and David with All or Nothing competed in his first 1* coming 24th out of 40 starters. Alexandra Deegan had a super clear run at Heytesbury clear XC.

Equestrian Tasmania is very keen to recieve reports and results of local and interstate competitions.
